Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Movyocar Rental. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before making a booking.

1. Eligibility to Rent

  • The renter must be at least 21 years of age (25 years for luxury and high-end models).
  • A valid UAE driving licence (minimum 6 months old) is required for UAE residents.
  • Tourists must present a home country driving licence and a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) if required.
  • A valid passport copy, visa copy, and Emirates ID (for residents) must be provided.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be made online, via call, or at our rental office.
  • Payments can be made via credit card, debit card, or cash.
  • A security deposit is mandatory and will be held against traffic fines, damage, or unpaid fees. Refunds are processed within 7–14 working days after the rental ends.
  • Rates include basic mileage limits; excess mileage will be charged per km.

3. Vehicle Usage

  • Vehicles must be used within the UAE unless prior written approval is given.
  • The renter must not use the vehicle for:
    • Racing, off-road driving, or illegal activities.
    • Transporting hazardous materials or heavy loads.
    • Subleasing to third parties.
  • Only authorised drivers listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.

4. Fuel and Maintenance

  • Vehicles are provided with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level. A refuelling fee applies otherwise.
  • Regular maintenance is Movyocar’s responsibility. However, any negligence, misuse, or accidents caused by the renter will be charged.

5. Insurance and Liability

  • All vehicles come with basic insurance covering accidental damage.
  • The renter is responsible for insurance excess charges in the event of an accident.
  • Insurance does not cover damages if the renter:
    • Drives under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
    • Violates UAE traffic laws.
    • Allows unauthorised persons to drive.
  • The renter is liable for any fines, Salik (toll) charges, and parking violations incurred during the rental period.

6. Delivery and Collection

  • Free vehicle delivery and pickup may be available within Dubai (conditions apply).
  • Delays in returning the car will result in additional hourly or daily charges.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Last-minute cancellations may result in partial or no refund.
  • Early termination of rental is non-refundable unless approved by Movyocar.

8. Accidents and Breakdowns

  • In case of an accident:
    • The renter must immediately notify Movyocar and the Dubai Police.
    • A police report is mandatory for insurance claims.
  • For mechanical breakdowns not caused by the renter, Movyocar will provide a replacement vehicle (subject to availability).

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
  • Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Dubai courts.
